Over the years, I’ve made many friends who have served this country with honor and dedication. Along with this, come countless stories of sacrifices and fallen comrades. Today I honor those brave soldiers with a few words of gratitude:

Thank you.
Thank you for the courage to face fear regardless of the outcome.
Thank you for showing us what love is.
Thank you for being a servant leader.
Thank you for protecting this country with your countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears.
Thank you for defending what is right.
Thank you for doing what few could do.
Thank you for providing hope for tomorrow.
Thank you for laying down your lives for the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.
Thank you beyond these words.

Their ultimate sacrifice is a testimony to the words spoken by Jesus when he said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
