“I want to forgive you, but I can’t,” read the text on my phone. My brother-in-law texted me about how my last daily message had been fraught with grammatical and spelling errors. They had become so prevalent it was defeating its purpose to inspire and encourage. Instead, it was distracting him.

He offered a few suggestions, including his help. He ended his message with, “I know you’re better than this.” Believe it or not, I was so appreciative and encouraged by his words. The reason is I know he speaks to me boldly in truth and love. Over the years, we’ve tackled tough topics and had our bumps in the road, but in the end, we genuinely love each other.

We may not always see eye to eye on everything, but I know God has brought us together for a purpose. In life, we must all have brothers who can speak truth into our lives. We must also be receptive to hear it.

Who is speaking truth boldly and with love in your life?

Meditate / Make It Real:

How receptive are you to hear this, and if not, how will you become receptive?
