Nico “Hulk” Hülkenberg is one of the highest-paid race car drivers. As a Formula 1 driver, he earns over $10 million per year and makes this amount for demonstrating incredible strength and stamina.

He’s also calculating and aggressive and consistently racks up points, making him a highly valued team player. In 2015, his reputation for performing under pressure went hyperspeed, when he won the classic Le Mans 24 Hours race for Porsche at the first time of asking.

According to some estimates, Nico’s F1 car costs about $12.2 million to build. What’s more, teams such as Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, and McLaren budget almost $400 million a year to develop the best cars for the season. But what good is such a powerful machine capable of greatness without the right driver?

Despite all of the expensive and highly sophisticated racing technology, the car still needs a driver. The car can’t get up one day and decide it’s going to steer or run itself; it requires a pilot.

This example reminds me of our lives. Although we are highly valuable and capable of greatness, we don’t win on our. We succeed when God is piloting our lives, and he makes the most of us so that together, we cross the finish line triumphantly.

How are you winning at the race we call life? Journal the journey. Be real. Be honest.

Meditate / Make It Real:

How much more could you be accomplishing if God was fully in control of your life? Share this with that fellow brother and have them hold you accountable.
