Lately I’ve become a little overwhelmed. Every time I turn on my computer, I’m greeted by a desktop full of files scattered about on the screen. These are all files that are in limbo.
The problem I have sometimes is recognizing what to do with these files. They don’t merit a permanent folder in my system but I may want them at a later time. Eventually however, my screen becomes crowded with these files in limbo and it makes it hard to find what I need. I eventually clear the desktop and can clearly see the most important files for easy access.
This is how our minds work. When we let a thought in and let it linger, we need to make sure it has value and purpose. Too many times we let the wrong thoughts linger on the desktops of our minds which eventually makes it difficult to think clearly and find the good. Take time today to de-clutter your mind, clear your thoughts and make sure you only keep what’s really helpful.
FX3 Challenge:
Pray:
Read and meditate on John 16:13. What is this verse saying to you?
Pray:
What kind of thoughts have you been entertaining lately which you must trash?
Meditate / Make It Real:
How will you continuously keep your desktop clear?
