It never ceases to surprise me how attorneys discover different interpretations of the same law. I’ve worked and hired different attorney’s over the years for various reasons. Although many find attorneys represent our judicial system’s worst, I can appreciate their tenacity to read into the law, not just read it.

An attorney’s ability to study, read, and learn all aspects of the law takes years of practice. The law can be so complicated that the most successful attorneys will focus on one specific law area. They will learn every aspect of that area until they can recite verdicts, case studies, and redefine laws.

I also find the best attorneys are passionate about their profession, and most importantly, focused on helping others.

Considering this, we all need to take an attorney’s tenacity to study scripture. We must research, evaluate context, examine the author, and in essence, dive deep. Biblically, this is a spiritual discipline we must exercise daily.

When we do, we’ll find reward in redeeming knowledge and the satisfaction we’re ultimately helping others.
