Last night millions watched as the Kansas City Chiefs took home the Lombardi trophy after a 50 year drought. Fans were ecstatic to also see quarterback Patrick Mahomes accomplish what he said he wanted to when he became quarterback for the team. The streamers came down on the stadium as the people cheered.

This was also a super win for coach Andy Reid. Over his 20 year career he’s had to endure those which constantly reminded him of falling short. Despite his many wins and success as a potential Hall of Fame coach, he had yet to win a Super Bowl. He’d come close but fallen short.

Regardless, he put his head down and continued to drive forward giving his all. After the game Mahomet was quoted saying “We wanted to get that trophy just because he deserved it. The work that he puts in day in and day out. He’s there at like 3 in the morning, and leaves at 11. I don’t think he sleeps…He’s someone that works harder than anyone I’ve ever known, and he deserves it.”

After thinking about this, I also have a similar goal. I want to leave knowing that I did all I could for God with the time he gave me here on earth. I want to hear those words…

FX3 Challenge:

Read:

Read and meditate on Mathew 25:23. What does this verse say to you?

Pray:

What wil yo be remembered for?

Meditate / Make It Real:

What one thing will you start doing today so you too will someday hear, “well done”?
