During a recent men’s group gathering, a fellow brother told us about a video he recently saw. In the video, persecuted Chinese Christians were overcome with joy and moved to tears when they were handed bibles for the first time. Many had never held a bible in their hands, yet their faith sustained them. One of them said, “This is what we needed the most.”
This appreciation for truth made me think about all of the freedoms we take for granted in the free world. We’re able to move about and share our faith openly yet, so many of us still live in fear. We hold a fear of being ridiculed or rejected. Some of us also forget we too once someone shared the good word with us.
However, we need to remember that although we live in a free world, many are not free. Many are living in bondage and doomed to an eternal prison without relief. You have the power and are commanded to share the gospel and free others.
