Not long ago I was speaking to a fellow brother who was going through some rough times. As we talked, I could sense there was so much more he could be and how he had the ability to overcome his situation. During our conversation I felt God pushing me to ask him a simple question.

The question was, “What does your last name mean?” He did’t know the answer at the moment and I challenged him to research it. A week later he came back a different man. He was overjoyed and encouraged by what he found.

It turns out his last name means “to endure, persevere”. Remember that although we are each uniquely created, we are unified in our identity in Christ. We have access and power from the God who created the universe!
